Welcome back! I know you have been back and forth a couple times here. Did you know I am a customer of Beachbody but also make money as an Authorized Distributor? Curious? Use the Contact Form for more info

I received this email last night and after replying I realized how very important this question / answer may be for so many readers. After-all the questions asked pertained to eating disorders and I know whether some choose to admit it or not, you may very well be in the same boat or have been there before or if anything I can help you by avoiding the wrong decisions before you get there.

I have personally experienced the mindset that all food was evil and that calories were calories and they all equaled fat. It’s one of those times in my life I don’t regret because it give me the first hand experience to answer questions like the following. You are about to discover something about me you may not have known.

Hi Jason,

I was watching a video and you said you have been through all struggles regarding weight, from being overweight to underweight to healthy now. What I wanted to know was when it comes to anorexia and starving yourself, how come experts say its really bad for you and life threatening as well as puts your body into starvation mode when celebrities do it all the time and lose a lot of weight and stay thin? Does what experts say only apply to a lifetime of abusing the body with anorexia?

Also, a major problem for me is consistency and dedication to my workout. I am one of those people who finds it necessary to start my program on a Monday and then if I mess up throughout the week the whole program is out the window. I know that once I get in a routine and stick with it, it will become habitual for me, but I can’t seem to get into a rhythm. Is there any advice you can give me about sticking to a workout schedule on a continuous basis? My problem I find is I want to workout and feel great afterward it’s just the preparation and actual getting to the gym that is a problem for me. Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.”

“Hey “writer”,

It is true, I have been up and down in pretty much every eating habit. I never went to the extreme of purging but I definitely went through a phase when I was about 15-16 where I would starve myself. Some days I would only consume 300 calories. I used to count EVERYTHING, I was pretty obsessive about my eating.

Starving yourself causes a lack of nutrition in your body, the nutrition your body needs to produce enzymes, create vitamins/ minerals, convert amino acids, and really everything. If you’ve ever starved yourself you know you feel completely deprived of energy and usually you end up grumpy or zoned out. That’s because your body is lacking glucose and you are basically shutting down to conserve.

While people in Hollywood may approach their diet in that fashion you notice they end up very very very unhealthy and seek rehab of some sort. There is a balanced approach to dieting that will lead to an extremely healthy and toned body. Starving is never the option.

Your brain and heart run on amino and fatty acids from your diet. When you don’t get those your body will eat itself, all the muscle, and even your bone mass. You essentially hollow out your bone structure. People have been known to simply die sitting in one spot because they were so starved of the proper nutrition their heart needs that it just shut down. I don’t regret the things I did to my body back then only now because it gives me the ability to share what not to do and relate first hand. A life time of abuse will cause so many health issues and very likely will shorten the “life time” anyway.

I think the reason for consistency issues is just that you dont have the right mindset. I bet you say to yourself “Yeah that would be cool to do” but you don’t have the internal knowing that you want it so so bad. Just saying something doesnt solidify the want to get it done. Also, don’t plan on a 60 or 90 day workout schedule and think that if you miss one or two days in a week that its all for nothing. Your body is very adaptive and will absolutely not lose your progress just cause you missed a couple days in between. just pick up where you left off and keep going. Its for a life time of health and feeling good not just 60 days or 90 days. Ya know?

You have to remember, EVERYTHING that happens in your life is from you. When you understand that you have control over your reactions in life you can take control of who you are. Do it because you want it not because you think other people will like you better. The wrong mindset will lead nowhere but an unwavering mindset that you are great as who you are and that you can do anything will bring you to the stars.

That’s my 2 cents.
Jason”

I made this video the other day of me personally tackling P90X Back and Biceps. Now my form is not perfect and I groan A LOT but the reason I show you this is for one, motivation and two, I want to express the realness of this program. This workout is not easy and will absolutely give you results as long as you push yourself and stay consistent.

I almost dubbed over the audio clips with some high energy music to keep the flow but instead I decided to share my embarrassing grunts and groans with you. That is 52.5lbs with the Lawn Mowers btw which is the max on my Bo Flex Selectech 552′s.

Now if you have yet to make that final decision to start your own P90X Journey then you have reached that pinnacle moment. You have the ability to click below which will direct you to the Official Team Beachbody Store where you can purchase your own copy of the P90X Workout Program. You get a full 90-day money back guarantee so you have nothing to lose but everything to gain.

Health should never be underestimated. You have this one body to interact with everything in reality. Why wouldn’t you keep it healthy?

As most P90X reviews will tell you the P90X Workout Program is comprised of 12 workout DVD’s which are arranged into a workout schedule over a 3 phase 90-day program. But unlike other P90X Reviews this P90X Review is going to single out the P90X Back and Biceps workout and explain how this upper body workout works.

The P90X Back and Biceps workout combines 24 total moves over approximately 52 minutes which includes the full warm-up and cool-down. Also, there are no repeat sets in this P90X workout. Now Let’s look deeper into the P90X Back and Biceps workout, here you will discover exactly what moves are included.

(1) Wide Front Pull-Ups (2) Lawnmowers (3) Twenty-Ones (4) One-Arm Cross-Body Curls

(5) Switch Grip Pull-Ups (6) Elbows-Out Lawnmowers (7) Standing Bicep Curls

The equipment needed for this P90X Workout includes a set of bands or dumbbells. With the huge variety in targeted upper-body muscle groups one set of weights or bands will not allow for maximum results. Anyone completing this P90X Workout should have a minimum 2 sets of dumbbells or a variety of bands offering various tensions. A chip-up bar will also be required to complete this entire Back and Biceps P90X Workout.

And finally here is a quick summary of this P90X Review:

  • This Back and Biceps workout involves 24 total upper-body workouts
  • The Back and Biceps P90X workout run-time is approx. 52 minutes
  • At least 2 sets of weights or bands are required for max results

(Just in case you don’t know what ChaLEAN Extreme is – Watch this video)

Basically I bought ChaLEAN Extreme back in March of 2008, I went through 2 months of the program personally, but I ended up going back to P90X. Now it has nothing to do with the quality of the program, ChaLEAN Extreme is good and Chalene Johnson is highly motivating it’s just that I like P90X more.

I was looking through my library of workout programs the other day and started to look at my copy of ChaLEAN. Well, I really got thinking about what I could possibly do with it. I honestly can say I probably won’t do it again just because I have other things I am doing. SO, I came up with the idea that I could offer it as a prize in some sort of contest!

This is what I came up with. I want to get in front of more people online and get more exposure for my blog – You want to get a free workout program. Let’s work together! =)

It’s very easy to qualify and I am going to tell you exactly how to do so! You will need to have a Facebook, Twitter, or both though you only need to do one (though if you’d really like to help me out you can do both ;) !).
