Healthy Weight Loss Tips – Ready to Lose Weight?

Healthy Weight Loss should really be the only weight loss you take on.
Fad Diets, Weight Loss Pills, and other Fast Weight Loss deal could just plain and simply hurt you in the long run. Some of the things may even work, but not forever. To achieve healthy weight loss you must make a life time commitment.
Healthy Weight Loss is achieve through a mindset shift, in accepting a new healthier life style you can conquer your internal walls. It does even have to be hard!
When you make the transition into healthy eating and a healthy life style you will automatically become more and more conscious of how you eat.
But before you can achieve anything you must first expect it of yourself!
Carbohydrates are not evil, Proteins are not the miracle weight loss food group, and fats will not kill you (Well some of them).
The way you must look at healthy weight loss is with a conscious mind and common sence approach. The food pyramid and being told to eat your veggies as a kid were not things said and created just for fun.
The key to a healthy mind, body, and soul is a balanced approach. Out of balance even seemingly “good for you things” will become negative just as to much of any “bad for you things”.
Life is about balance in all areas and even so in your approach towards healthy weight loss.
Check this out. The following are recommended sources that you should get from each food group each day or at least achieve a balance by the end of the week.
*Keep in mind the lower side of the servings is relating towards someone with a 1600 cal daily need where are the highest serving portions are targeted for someone around the 2600 cal needs.
Breads, Grains, Oats:
You should strive to get 6-11 servings from this group each day. This food group can be anything from rice, bread, and pasta to cold cereals, oatmeal, and cream of wheat.
Fruits:
Fruits containt many valuable vitamins like vitamin C and A. Making sure to get 2-4 servings a day can be very helpful in boosting immunities and vitality of your body. Plus most fruits vary from quick releasing sugars like Banana’s to slow releasing sugars like Apples. Use fruit in place of candy bars to get you through a tough time, between meals, or when you need a little boost.
Veggies:
Like fruits your veggies will give you valuable and very necessary vitamins + minerals to help your body rebuild, stay disease free, and balanced. You can also get many antioxidants from eating a variety of raw to lightly cooked veggies. Look to get about 2-5 servings a day and very your veggies.
Think of it like this. How many colors of veggies did you eat today? The idea is to get a variety of different colors in there because each may provide an array of different but vital vitamins and minerals.
Dairy:
Ok so some people here develope something know as lactose intolerance which occurs when the body stops producing enough or any lactase which is the protien enzyme capable of breaking down the milk sugar known as lactose. But the idea in drinking dairy is to get a variety of vitamans and minerals like vitamin D and the mineral Calcium. Plus milk is rich in protein which is beneficial to your muscular growth.
Also dairy products like cottage cheese and yogurt with active live cultures promote a healthy and balanced digestive system. These live cultures help balance the good bacteria within your intenstines which in turn helps digest and break down foods.
Try to get 2-3 servings of dairy a day.
Meat:
Meats supply you with many vital minerals and is the best food group for iron absorption. Also, meats supply complete amino acids which help muscle repair, growth, and ezyme production.
Eating meats low in fat like chicken and fish is a better approach than eating a 12 oz steak every night. Also, the portions of meat should be around 3oz each, nothing huge but just the right amount of proteins and minerals.
2-3 Servings a day around 3 oz each is appropriate.
Fats:
This group is one to be taken sparingly.
Now the truth is you need fat in your body. Your brain alone consists of about 60% fatty tissue so wouldn’t it only make sense that your body needs fat to assist brain functions?
But which fats?
The idea is to supply yourself with fatty acids in the polyunsatured and monounsaturated area but avoid saturated and trans fats (oxidized fats with no nutritional value)
You could live your entire healthy life without ever consuming Saturated fats, you don’t need them. But, you absolutely without a doubt need fats from nuts, fish, and oils like olive oil, flaxseed oil, and sunflower oils. These beneficial fats will supply you with crucial omega fatty acids which your body can use for repair and function.
I am sure you have seen labels with “essential Emoga 3′s and Omega 6′s” Those are the good guys. Saturated and Trans fats are unnecesary and could be avoided altogether, though with that said, with moderation they certainly won’t kill you!
With a journey for healthy weight loss goals are great but what’s best is knowing what your goals are, reminding yourself every day, and doing what it takes in the moment to make the long term adjustment.
Some days move slower than others, some days temptation is greater and in some cases you may even indulge. But remember, it’s only right now that you have control over what your actions are. Keep in a consiouss state of mind and realize your goals.
The idea here is not to deprive yourself of anything you love but to transition into a variety of things you can enjoy. The better your health, the better you will feel, the more you will want to stick with healthy weight loss.
Before you can achieve any of this, you must first give yourself permission to do what it takes.
A healthy weight loss goal should be 1-2 pounds a week. You can achieve this by figuring out your current calorie needs and then reducing your daily caloric intake to 500-700 less than what you need. In doing so you will create a “calorie deficit” and your body will be forced to use fat tissue as energy but you will not be starving or avoiding things you love.
It is important to note that 1 pound of fat is equal to about 3500 calories, so by reducing your calorie intake by 500 less than your maintanance needs daily, you will create a total deficit of 3500 calories a week and therefore burn 1 pound a week.
Of course by adding fitness you can easily increase calories burned each day while increasing the calorie deficit to advance results.
With a life style approach you will find balance in everything you eat and so even “bad for you things” will not be so bad. You can still enjoy the pleasures of cuisine but eat healthy, fresh fruits, and raw to lightly cooked veggies, more often than sugary sweet and late night take out.

There are several ways to market your Beachbody Coach business online and off. It really all depends on your strength and weaknesses. It’s best to choose what comes easy for you to get started and then branch out.
In this article we will cover a few ways to build your Beachbody Coach business that way you can have a few options to consider.
You may be a new Beachbody coach or researching the opportunity to see if it’s right for you. In the next couple minutes you will discover exactly what you need to know.
First things first, with any business you must first have the right mindset. If you do not have the mindset that you will do what it takes, that you will push beyond your comfort zones, and that you will continuosly add to your personal value you will not find success.
The Beachbody Coach opportunity is not a get rich quick type thing where you automatically make millions. It will take time and it will take effort to effectively grow a successful business.
You must first start with the understanding that it will probably take a couple months to get the ball rolling, especially if you are new and/or doing this in between another full time job or family obligations.
The best idea is to do at least one thing every day that moves your business in a forward direction. We will discuss in more detail throughout this article exactly what those forward actions will be.
The best way I can put it is if you are swimming out in the middle of the ocean (your starting point) and you see the shore (your business success), you will want to take a forward stroke every day to get you a little closer. If you only wade in the water but never take a stroke forward then you will only ever sit out in the water. Eventually you will get tired and quit.
Now that you are mentally prepared let’s take a look at some options to marketing your beachbody coach business for success.
There are two main categories with smaller sub-categories to each.
Online and Offline or a mix of the two.
Let’s take a look at the Online approach first.
When starting online you must first understand that you will be marketing yourself and giving before you will start selling your product or your beachbody coach business. What I mean is, people won’t join you because of your business, people will join you because of your ability to lead them and offer value.
So you must first find what you can do well and focus on that. For example,
If you are good with making videos then start a Youtube Channel and begin to offer tips, advice, personal experience, and other things that your prospects will want to know and learn about.
If you are afraid to get in front of the camera but you are good at writing, try article marketing. Start writing articles with tips, walk-throughs, reviews, and personal experiences that others can learn and benefit from. Then submit these articles to article directories to get exposure.
One of the main things you will want to have regardless of what approach you do is a blog. Your blog will be the main hub that will allow you to brand yourself and also share your personal experience, plus above all this is where you can begin to grow a list of prospects.
If you focus on adding value to yourself and then in turn share this with your prospects you will naturally attract people to you without ever having to cold call or chase people down. I promise, if you do this right people will come to you first already sold on your product and beachbody coach business.
What I am talking about is “Attraction Marketing” and it is a very real thing.
You must market yourself with intentions of helping first, give without want. I am focusing on this because I need you to understand that you must get the idea of selling out of your mind. I know everyone starts with the idea of money on the mind and therefore you will try to sell your wares relentlessly.
If you try to sell all you will do is push your prospects away, nobody wants to be sold to. Think about yourself, do you like it when someone comes up to you with their own intentions on mind. The first thing you think is, “This person is trying to sell me something” and you automatically shut off everything they say.
Now that you understand this another approach I want to talk about is Social Media Marketing. Using Facebook, Myspace, and twitter to market yourself and your beachbody coach opportunity are amazing platforms. Be yourself and share experiences, tips, and useful information to your followers.
Join social media groups relevant to your niche (Health and Fitness). Offer to help and give suggestions so that you can grow a long term relationship with your friends and followers. Remember, people buy from people they trust!
Those are just a few areas to focus on when marketing your beachbody coach business online.
Now if you decide you want to market locally to people you know, your friends, people at your local church, your local gym, or just people in the general area that are into getting healthy let’s cover a few ways to go about this.
One of the best ways to get out there and to get known by “word of mouth” marketing is to offer a fit club. Find a some local place like your churchs recreational room, a school, or a gym that you can get permission to use a couple times a week.
Offer a fit club where you invite people to come and actually workout as a group with P90X, Insanity, Hip Hop Abs, etc. Offer a free fit club, with this approach you are giving first and helping. By doing so you will have people come and decide to buy after trying the workout without you having to sell.
Also, this approach will work great as people that go will tell their friends and family about you and your products / Beachbody Coach business. Through “word of mouth” your business prospects will grow and so will your sales / downline.
Post fliers on the community board at local grocery stores, the local college, or anywhere else that you have permission to post a flier offering your fit club.
Do you see how giving first allows you to grow relationships to build future sales and success in your Beachbody Coach business?
Remember, this is a business and so you must treat it as so. Invest time and strategy and the money will come. Do what you love and love what you do.
A true Beachbody coach is in it to help others get in shape and reach their health/ financial goals. Being paid is a benefit to the whole thing.
You can also do a hybrid between online and offline approaches to maximize your business and propects. This Beachbody Coach business can easily become a full time endevour if you approach it in the right way. This article has offered some insight and a few things to consider.
Remember to give first, tell people how you lost weight, share your story and connect emotionally as to how you felt before you got healthy and how you feel now, offer genuine suggestions to help others choose the right beachbody program even if the commission is less.
Think of every single person as a person and not just another opportunity to make money. It’s appropriate to create 30-90 day business plans and strategies for yourself to achieve. Then repeat every time you reach a goal.
Keep stroking forward and eventually you will reach the shore of your beachbody coach business. From that point you are on dry land and ready to freely explore new options. Build life long reationships with your prospects and you will have customers for life which will pay you over and over again.

workout program – how to choose the right one

There are many workout program options available these days.

  • But which one do you choose?
  • Which one is right for you?

To decide which workout program is best suited for you first you must look at what your current level of fitness is.

If you are searching for a workout program I imagine you are looking to workout at home as opposed to the gym. There are many factors to that like maybe you don’t have time to drive back and forth, maybe you don’t feel comfortable yet working out in front of others, or maybe you just like the convenience of working out at home.

There are so many options available these days when it comes to exercise programs that you may never need to step into a gym again.

Exercising at home with a workout program offers a very dynamic approach because it puts you in total control of your workout schedule. You decide when to push play, you decide for the most part what to wear, and you don’t have to worry about being self conscious because you can do it in the privacy of your own home.

Another beautiful thing about finding a good workout program for home is that the cost is usually very affordable compared to pricey gym memberships with monthly fees and not to mention the usual “initiation fees” when you first join.

So what workout program do you choose? Which ones work and which ones don’t?

I am sure those may just be a couple of the questions going through your mind.

The thing you must understand is that most work, most of the infomercials you see like P90X or Slim in 6 all work, but it depends on the effort you are able and willing to put forth.

Do you have 1 hour a day? Do you only have 15 minutes every other day? Are you starting out with 200+ pounds to lose or are you in “OK” shape looking to get more?

Those are the questions we have to answer. Reading this article already proves that you are ready to make the change, that you are willing to commit to your better heath and fitness. That is absolutely incredible and you should applaud yourself for taking the action necessary!

When choosing a workout program you must look at the time requirements to see if it is something you can realistically fit into your life.

Also, look at the effort required. Does the workout program allow for adaption? Does the workout program offer a structure and goal?

You will want a workout program that offers a nutrition plan as well as a money back guarantee in case things happen that don’t allow you to fit it in.

Another thing to consider when trying to find a suitable workout program is whether or not is comes with a community support program. Some companies like Beachbody that offer a wide variety of exercise programs also comes with a free community of others to help keep you accountable and motivated.

You may be working out at home alone but you don’t have to go about your goals and transformations alone! Finding a workout program that offers support will be a huge tool in your success!

All the above questions are things you need to consider when looking for a workout program to suit your needs. Don’t hesitate to ask questions, you’re investing in your health and your future – Get all the answers you need to make an educated decision when choosing your workout program.

  • Does it fit in your schedule?
  • Does it allow for a beginner to advance?
  • Does it offer a nutrition plan and goal structure?
  • Will you get community support or maybe even a health coach?
  • Does it offer a Money Back Guarantee just in case?
  • What additional equipment will you need?

Now that you have some questions to ask your next move is to go into action and find the workout program that will benefit you for your fitness level and your time schedule.

See a variety of actual exercise programs and find out which one fits you:

Let’s Spin!

So I decided to take a class today at my local gym which appropriately is called “Spin Class”.

I had heard about this before and even glanced into the room a couple times during previously class sessions. “It can’t be that crazy?” I thought.

As of recent I decided to start conditioning myself for a half-iron man Triathlon, so with that decision I started swimming 3 times a week on top of my Shaun T Insanity schedule.

That is also why I decided to give the spin class a go because as anyone that knows anything about a triathlon, there are three legs of the race; swimming, biking, and then a final run.

I figure Insanity has the “running” down as it involves a lot of jumping and leg work plus cardio, the swimming of course takes care of my swim training, and now I have the spin class to take care of biking.

Spin is one hour in length and it is far from a joke. Seriously I ended up taking a mid afternoon “nap” today for 6 hours because I was so overly exhausted!

I plan to start fitting the spin class in 3 days a week and swimming about 2-3 days. Shaun T Insanity will still be the full 6 days a week on top of it all.

I cannot express how exciting my rest day is each week, a day to sit back and just let my body recover after a weeks worth of non-stop punishment.

So spin is my latest addition to my fitness schedule and man is that some crazy stuff! I’ll let you know more as it all comes together.

Tomorrow I plan to just take it easy at the gym, I’ll do some stretch and some very light cardio work.

The eating will deifnitely have to increase as I know right now I burn no less than 1000 calories a day if not 2000+. I have an incredibly high metabolism from all this stuff I do so it’s nothing to eat through 3-4000 calories in a day.

I am attempting to work my way upwards to eating 4500+ calories to compensate and refuel my body. That is of course expensive but very well worth it when exerting such stress on the body.

Keep pushing forward, keep going at it, make sure to rest, and never look back!

In Decemeber 2008 I could hardly do 3 chin ups… Anything is possible when you truly desire the outcome. Before you can accomplish anything you must expect it of yourself.

Good night.

The Right Workout Program for You

What workout program is for you?
That is often a question we are all confronted with at one time or another. You’ve decided to do something about your lack of fitness, your ready to change your health for the better, and you are bound and determined to get it done.
But what workout program will be suitable to get you there?
I am going to talk about a few options giving you the chance to determine which is the best option for you to start with.
As with Beachbody there are so many options for whatever your current level of fitness may be.
P90X for example is a workout program  that almost everyone knows thanks to late night infomercials. Another option may be 10 Minute Trainer or maybe Shaun T Insanity.
To figure out which workout program is the best to start with you must first throw your ego to the side. The last thing that would do your body good is to choose the wrong program and injure yourself, or just plain not be able to get it done.
So lets take a quick look at each workout program and determine for you which may be your best option.
Power 90
P90X / X+
ChaLEAN Extreme
Slim in 6
10 Minute Trainer
Shaun T Insanity
Keep in mind this article is not going to cover Every workout program but we will take a look at some of the most popular, each with it’s own level of difficulty.
Power 90
This workout program is nothing to take lightly but it may be a better option to start out with than P90X if you are new to the game or just getting back into the roll of things. Power 90 has a variety of different DVDs to keep it fresh and new plus the pace is challenging but allows for adaption.
You will need some extra equipment so keep that in mind.
Power 90 is often a great place to start before you jump into the Extreme version known as P90X. If you feel your not quite up to par and you need some extra conditioning then Power 90 is the place to start.
P90X / X+
I am going to combine two in one here. The P90X workout program and P90X+ (Plus). The plus version is really to follow P90X but is a great addition for those planning a round 2 and looking for added variety.
P90X is the creme of the crop workout program that emphasizes all areas of fitness from Cardio, to resistance training, Stretch, and even Yoga!
Most workouts will range from about 1 hour a day up towards 1 and a half hours a day! You must have determination to get it done and also enough time each day to bring it, keep this in mind!
If you have completed Power 90, 10 Minute Trainer, or you at least actively workout 3 times a week then P90X will be an excellent start. I do always suggest that no matter who you are, take week one as a chance to learn the moves and condition your body, go at it with 70-80% effort.
*If you do not hede my warning I promise that you will be so sore during the first week you may not feel as though you can continue on! This stuff is the real deal and believe me, Tony does not mess around!
ChaLEAN Extreme
Chalene Johnson’s program, ChaLEAN Extreme focuses closer to heavier weight and lesser reps. Most workouts range from 35-45 minutes with only about 9 moves.
Though this is no joke program either. ChaLEAN is on the level of P90X and should not be taken lightely if you are new to the game. I suggest something like Power 90, 10 Minute Traininer, Slim in 6, or some other lesser intense program to condition pre-ChaLEAN.
I personally prefer the P90X Workout Program of ChaLEAN Extreme but I have heard the opposite from others that stay sided with ChaLEAN over P90X. The choice is yours but they should be considered on the same level of difficulty.
Slim In 6
This workout program is perfect if you are not P90X or ChaLEAN Extreme ready. Slim in 6 is a 6 week program that focuses on cardio (metabolism boosting) and light resistance traning (with bands).
The Slim in 6 workout program is a perfect choice if you need something of less time commitment and of lesser intensity allowing you to adapt and get stronger at your pace.
The workouts here will range from 25 minutes upwards to an hour. I would say Slim In 6 is an equal option to 10 Minute Trainer which we will look at next.
10 Minute Trainer
the 10 Minute Trainer workout program is built for those with very little time but still ready to take action. As the name implies this workout program is built around 10 minute workouts.
How are you possibly going to achieve any results in only 10 minutes a day?
Let’s just say “Synergy”. Lots of things all in motion at the same time. 10 Minute Trainer combines cardio and light resistane (with bands) focusing on “combo” moves to work your entire body through each 10 Minute Session.
For example you may do Lunges combined with curls (with bands) to workout your upper and lower body all while raising your heart rate to create a cardio and resistance synergistic effect.
Slim in 6 of 10 Minute Trainer are great option if you are not ready for the intesity of P90X / X+, ChaLEAN Extreme, or even Power90. Plus the 10 Minute Trainer workout program is perfect if you are tight on time and live a very busy life.
Shaun T Insanity
I had to leave Insanity for the last. Why?
Because well, it’s Insane! As of this writing I am 16 days in and absolutely in love with the program. This is above everything we looked at previously. If you think you can tackle P90X then you MAY be able to handle Shaun T Insanity. But it’s not for the faint of heart.
The workouts are quick in the first couple weeks ranging from 35-45 minutes while towards the end of the 60 days you will be pushing the MAX DVDs which are upwards to an hour in length.
You don’t need any extra equipment here as Insanity is all about Cardio, Core, and Jump Training. It’s lots of running in place, jumping around, squats, and push ups. If you have knee or hip issues I suggest you do something with less impact.
Insanity is the most challenging of everything we looked at but if you like an extreme challenge then I promise you will not be disapointed.
So now that you have an idea of each workout program you should be equipped with the knowledge to make your decision.
